Brenda Cooper writes science fiction, fantasy, and poetry. She has won two Endeavour awards for her long fiction and has been shortlisted for the Phillip K. Dick Award. Her short fiction has appeared in Clarkesworld, Analog, Asimov’s, Nature, Anthropocene, and in many other publications. Her most recent book is a collection of short fiction and poetry, “When Mothers Dream: Stories” that came out from Fairwood Press in August 2025. Brenda has worked in local government and construction as a technology leader. She lives in Woodinville, WA.
